A 20 Minute Meditation Class You Can Do Anytime

A 20 Minute Meditation Class You Can Do Anytime. Livestream meditation class recorded Wednesday 13th October 2021

Part One: 20 minutes

This meditation starts with you sitting down nice and easy, nice and gentle, breathing easily and naturally. It’s important in the first part of your meditation to just be patient and enjoy a few nice easy breaths and simply wait, because so often meditation can involve all these different activities, and think this and think that, but actually what we most need is to just stop. So I hope for us this morning, that this class can be an opportunity and permission to just stop for a moment. You don’t need to stop your thoughts or change how you feel in your body everything’s allowed.

Next up, be inspired by this gorgeous poem from Thomas Traherne ‘Wonder’ – It’s perfect for your yoga or meditation practice.

Who Am I? ( Am I Bianca Jagger?) Exploring and Re-interpreting Your Self-Image with my ‘who am I, am I Bianca Jagger? Meditation Who we think we are influences our choices and sense of wellbeing. For example, if you see yourself as a successful and dedicated athlete it may then feel natural and easy to by-pass the fast food shop on your way home, because you are very aware that successful athletes ‘just don’t do that sort of thing’. Exploring your self-image can be very illuminating. You might start with making notes in your journal for ten minutes on questions such […]

  • How Do You Meditate? A Simple Meditation For Beginners.

There are many approaches to meditation available today. You can use mantras, poetry, art, nature, excercises in focussing, breath work and imaginative guided meditations to name just a few. Nearly all of which work by offering you a way of focussing your mind and paying better attention to what’s happening now. Something meditators refer to as being more present!

  • Have You Got Slow Happiness?

And so if you want to know if your meditation is working or not do take it up regularly and watch to see the changes that occur over several months or years. Even if you just take it up once a week or once a month, something new and interesting will evolve. And while the challenges of life may continue to come and go, you will have built up an enviable resting stress rate that doesn’t wear off after a few hours. You will have slow-happiness!

  • Moving from IRL to URL – 6 Ways To Improve Your Mental Health And Wellbeing During Lockdown

Our individual life circumstances are so different, which means we are all experiencing our own set of unique challenges. For example, the state of our health, wealth, security and companionship varies wildly and for this reason it’s not easy to share a set of generic wellbeing tips. The tips offered here aren’t exhaustive and I’ll likely share a part 2, but I’ve taken into account the comments and questions you’ve shared with me in our online sessions and combined them with questions and discoveries of my own to offer a nice jumping off point into the realms of lockdown wellness.
